On the island of Ulthuan, a long time ago, there was a beautiful and loving High Elf maiden named Aladriel. Oh, how dark fate can change things.
When her mother was killed during the second major chaos invasion of Ulthuan, Aladriel was overcome with a grief that instantly soured to rage. However, it was not Chaos that she came to despise. Rather, Aladriel blamed the High Elf society for being too weak to protect her mother.
As some in the High Elf society began to renew worship of Khaine, the Lord of Murder, Aladriel was intimately drawn to the hope of more power. She kept her associations and her rage a secret to most, especially her father.
When the Sundering struck the island of Ulthuan, her father thought she was lost. However, now consumed with nothing but death, Aladriel had simply left on the Black Arks with the rest of the Dark Elves.
Eager for every opportunity to kill her former kindred, she participated in many raids against Ulthuan. Aladriel heard the stories of how her despondent father had joined the Shadow Elves, and how he fought with no fear of death. Ready to commit patricide, she followed her father when he left on some strange mission across the Sea of Chaos. He traveled to the first of human civilizations, Nehekhara. She watched as he began to prepare a large quantity of lethal poison; he was going to poison the Humans' river and life blood!!
Though she did not know his motives, she knew she wanted him to suffer. Aladriel secretly gave away his position to King Settra's troops. Her father was captured and tortured. Hiding outside the prison windows, Aladriel heard her father confess that he wanted to stop Human civilization from inadvertently giving Chaos more power through the humans' barbaric, fear filled subconscious.
Aladriel also heard another prisoner, a Dark Elf like herself, offer to help the interrogator to capitalize on this new information... in exchange for his freedom. The thought of increasing her power by stoking the fears of her prey appealed to Aladriel. So, she followed through blood and shadow, and helped to form the Anti-Sanctus Chaotica.
Though her father escaped Settra's prison and repented his genocidal ways, he never was able to snuff from existence the malevolent organization that he had inspired... and he never knew his daughter was both alive and a Dark Lady of this Unholy Legion. Until, that is, the day that she set a trap for him and left him imprisoned and entombed - alive - to die slowly of starvation and madness.
Today, Aladriel is a member of the Council of Dark Lords, one of the most lethal Druchii assassins alive, and easily the most heartless and ruthless Dark Elf ever to slit the neck of a friend.
