Mentorship Program

The basic gist to this program is that when new applicants survive the interrogation process and join the regiment, they are assigned an officer as a mentor. This mentor/mentee relationship will be in effect for the duration of your membership.  During this time, the mentor communicates on a more personal level and attempts to introduce the member to the rest of the regiment by showing them the "ropes" and the truly best feature of our regiment... the community!  You can also use your student group to get to know other members of the regiment.  We have a large Regiment.  So, having a smaller group that you know well, will help to make the large guild seem more personal and engaging.

Some things that could be discussed:

-  Real Life stuff.  As little or as much as you'd like to share.

-  Stories!
If you'd like to post it your mentor's forum first for a smaller audience and get an opinion please feel free. We encourage you to think of your background and get it posted HERE.

-  Check out Anti-Sanctus Chaotica's time line and history!
These are great tools to help weave your own background in with ours as a Guild.

-  So, how is WAR going for you?
The Guild loves screenshots!  Post em here or in the Gallery for all to see!

-  At the very top of your screen you will see a chat box!
It's a quick one time typing of your name and a password!  Make sure to join us there!  There's a great combination of IC and OCC discussion at all hours of the day and night.

-  Voice chat!
This chat is great, simple and a quick.  Just download and install Ventrilo, and use the login information we give you in your application thread.

-  And last, but not least, let them know if you have any questions, concerns or ideas!
Post them in your Mentor's forum or send them a PM directly.

Following this introduction to the idea of RP Squads, there will be a list of all currently recognized RPSs.  If you would like to create a new RPS, please read the information here and respond to THIS THREAD accordingly.  New RP Squads that have at least three active members will get recognized, and have a section of the forums created that is dedicated and exclusive to that RPS.

Bleeding Rose

RPSs are meant to be "grass-roots," guild member initiated, collaborative groups.  They are meant to encourage interaction especially between and among non-officer guild members.  They are not to be confused with in-game squads that follow the chain of command.  They are for members who want to have a shared RP background for their characters, and are to be a tool for furthering character and plot development.  They are about building your IDENTITY.

Role-Playing Squads have nothing to do with the chain of command (and never will).  The CoC is implemented to make certain that we can efficiently slaughter Order (without mercy) on the battle field of the game.

Role-Playing Squads are for groups of our members to get to know each other better - to promote a greater since of identity - to provide small groups of friends a tool through which to tell their story, as a sub-part of the larger guild lore - and to create a far richer and more fun role-playing environment within our guild.

Note: If you are the "Founder" of a RP Squad, that does not make you the "Leader" of the RP Squad.  What this really entails is just making you the #1 cheerleader for the group.  You encourage others to join.  You encourage members to be active.  You try to initiate group conversations about the group's history / lore / ongoing story.

It doesn't mean you are in charge... because RPSs should be non-hierarchical.

With regards to the website, however, you will be at the head of the RPS usergroup, and that just means you can invite other guildies into that usergroup... which is what gives them access to the section of our forums that is exclusive for your RPS.

Candle List of Recognized RP Squads Candle

The Bloody Fist
A group of chaos chosens that were originally Khornate Berserkers, whom were drawn to the teachings of UL-ASC with the promise of getting more power and spilling more blood.  These Khornate Berskers are now posing as Chosens of Tzeentch, so they can partake in the WARHOST that is the focus of Warhammer Online.
Point of Contact:  Asarikox Requis

 The Shadows of Arabay
Members of the UL-ASC who remember their past lives with the Legion, dating back to their lives in Ancient Nehekhara.  They may have been Mortuary Priests, or served within the armies of Settra.  If you like the tomb kings lore, this is a good place for you!
Point of Contact: Asarikox Requis

 Blood Avarice
Power-hungry and blood-thirsty Dark Elves in the... employment of the Legion. For a druchii would not willingly ally theirself with those of a lesser race unless it were to offer something to them in return.  Their goals are simple; to use the mobilizing Chaos and Orc tribes, and perhaps with a  subtle enough hand, the Legion itself, into achieving the Avarice's own needs.
Point of Contact:  Asarikox Requis

The Cult of Corruption (media group)
The Cult of Corruption is more than a role-playing squad. It is the team of artists within our guild that contribute their talents to creative works of destruction! Ideally - this is our guild's ARTIST THINK TANK.
Point of Contact:  Asarikox Requis

 Requis Hunters
Everyone has tangled emotions, dwelling inside like boiling potions of anger and fury. Yet, we are pulled on strings like puppets towards uncertain end, with little control over our internal passions and desires. Everyone has a Requis, a deep governing monster, we just have to find it.  This is the RPS for the power hungry.
Point of Contact:  Asarikox Requis

 The Culling Blade
The Instrument of the Dark Lords, the Culling Blade was formed to carry out assignments handed down to them directly from the Dark Lords.  Comprised of elite members of all races, this group will be responsible for furthering the goals of the Anti-Sanctus Chaotica and the Dark Lords that lead it.  "The Sword of the Legion."
Point of Contact:  Asarikox Requis

Da Green Paf
Waking from a blow to the head from a dwarven hammer, Gorlik heard the voices of Gork and Mork in his head. They commanded him to form a brotherhood of greenskins to get the wayward greenskins back on the true path, the green path. They also ordered him to find the green grail, an artifact of much power to help spread the WAAAGH!. Wot is dis green grail? We doesn't know, but sum of da Night Gobbos knows sumfin. As members of da brudderhood, our duty is ta find da green grail and spread da WAAAGH ta all our greenskin brudders.
Point of Contact: Gorlik

Aegis Of Agony
A loyal section of warriors devoted to the protection of all other guildmates. They use thier strategy and tactics to control battlepoints, protect the dark lords, and shield the legion itself. Followers of this group can be of any race and of any class as long as defending is thier mindset be it by a shield or the quick end of a blade.
Point of Contact: Darcros

The Cult of Mahk
Jachin is (was) obsessed with killing the Phoenix King, but then came to realize that it wouldn't end there. Another would eventually rise to replace him and nothing would change. He fell into dispair and had an encounter with Noir. Noir had an amazingly lucid moment and gave Jachin purpose. Suddenly Jachin realized how powerful Noir really was. Up to that point he thought of him (and all the Dark Lords) as mortals pretending to be Gods, but realized that they are all Gods taking the form of mortals. When Jachin asked Noir about this, his response was "Sometimes a duck is just a duck" which Jachin first thought meant that he was reading too much into it, and that perhaps he was wrong. Then he turned to Noir and replied "But sometimes it is something else" to which Noir grinned and then asked what color he thought "free will" was, which he took as a direction to start researching things, which has spawned the last two sermons. Jachin still questions why they are doing this and has decided that Noir has the answers, but in order to understand the answers he must figure out what the questions are. He has become absolutely fanatical in his research into what has become The Codex Noir. While Noir tends to be... rather eccentric... Jachin is very stioc and serious when it comes to his station. Now others have come to join his cause.
Point of Contact: Jachin

The Unscribes
The Unscribes are a group of members who document events for the good of the ASC. They write of stories for those who are too busy killing to put pen to paper. These stories are used as a referance for the Dark Lords to learn how thier members act or events play out without having to be there. The Unscribes make it thier sworn duty to document battles they have been to.
Point of Contact: Darcros Painkeeper

Crimson Thirst
Sylvania is a land of myth and legend, tales of Vampires running through the night run rampant, the citizens are superstitious and afraid...perfect for those that stalk the night. The Crimson Thirst seeks to unite the vampires of the empire lands and bring the undead surge back to the gates of Aldorf, where they will exhume Vlad Von Carstein and hopefully resurrect him. The short term goals are simple, provide a place for vampires to gather, provide sanctuary to those vampires that are being hunted, and foremost...feast upon the enemies of the ASC. ooc description: It was brought to my attention by several members that a RPS based around vampires would be a good thing around here, The vampire counts are what got me into warhammer to begin with and while vampires play a big roll here as it is, i thought something told from the other side of things would add flavor to the guild.
Point of Contact: Anlarna

 Your Idea Here

    * What other sorts of RP Squads should we "sanction" and include in this list?  Give us some ideas!!

Bleeding Rose

You can role-play while working in-game, within the game mechanics, to try and control territory, gain equipment and kill order.  Those three things are absolutely the type of activities that any of our RP Squads could be involved with from an RP perspective, for any number of reasons.

Why wouldn't RP Squads be active in game?  It doesn't make any sense.

An RP Squad being in game does not have to mean that the Squad as a unit is doing something as a unit.

If Darcros is in the Aegis of Agony on our forums, he is still in the Aegis of Agony when he is out on the battle-field.  The people who make up the RP Squad ARE the RP Squad... So, of course RP Squads are in game.

Your RP Squad helps to define your in and out of game IDENTITY.

Could some members of Blood Avarice end up in a warband led by an Odji-Mortis that is in Da Green Paf?  Sure!  And why not?  The RP reasons would dig down into the very same reasons that the members of the Blood Avarice had for joining (infiltrating?) the ASC in the first place!

Maybe this group of X members of the Aegis of Agony are in a warband led by someone in the Culling Blade... they recognize that the Odji-Mortis who is leading the warband, though in the Culling Blade, is still the one calling the shots...  But, that doesn't some how make them non-members of the Aegis of Agony... they can still Role Play as though that is who they are... it is their... IDENTITY.

That group could ask the Odji-Mortis in charge of the warband to put them all into one party... then, that party of the Aegis of Agony, could be the one that stays behind at the Keep, with a Dark Lord, while the rest of the warband is hitting objectives... to watch for any recapture attempts.

With a bit of creative thinking, our command and leadership structure will be maintained, while allowing all members to get more into their characters, by using RP Squads to help flesh out their in-game IDENTITY.

Enjoy.... and be merciless!

BE RELENTLESS.... BE THE PAIN!!!!!!!!!!

Bleeding Rose
There are some who worship Power, Destruction and Chaos above all else...
even the gods.

Thousands of years ago an unholy and unlikely alliance was forged...
A secret order, steeped in DEATH, and worshiping nothing but POWER and DESTRUCTION...
For generations, these malevolent forces have sown the seeds of despair...
They are determined to gain more POWER by feeding off the FEAR and ANARCHY produced by WAR!

Sinister secrets not forgotten... Bloodied hands that never clean... With time the abyss remembers... The evil we have seen...
The blight is spreading... Hope is made to fear... Dreams of peace are shredding...
THE AGE OF RECKONING IS HERE!

Creation is the dream... and we are the nightmare that brings certain finality.

The innocent will be made to suffer.

All members of the Unholy Legion follow this creed:
A Brethren of Darkness is hateful, spiteful, vengeful, patient, efficient, persistent, prudent, cold-blooded, blood thirsty, and power-hungry.

Through the suffering of others, we are made to rise... and the eternal pain of our prey is transcendent.

"The Rule of P": Planning + Patience + Persistence + Prudence = POWER

(Propaganda and Pnowledge are the "silent" Ps.)

UL:ASC RP 101 - What You Need to Know when Writing about ASC

#1 HAVE FUN! This information is here to help you, and not to dictate how to express yourself.

#2 This page explains some of the basic concepts and important facts about the Unholy Legions of Anti-Sanctus Chaotica.  It is stuff that can help you as you write your own contributions to our expanding lore.  For a much more expansive understanding of Anti-Sanctus Chaotica lore (UL:ASC RP 401 Advanced), then you will want to read To the Children of My Desperation, and A Gathering of Daemons.

#3 If you want to know more about general Warhammer Lore: Go Here.

  • HISTORY and TIMELINE: The history of how the UL:ASC was formed can be found here: HISTORY

  • HEADQUARTERS: The UL:ASC has several regional headquarters known as the Sanctum Desecrata.  Individually, they go as the Sanctum Desecratus ______ - where the blank is unique to each location.  Though the specific look of our headquarters will vary from region to region, they generally will have a hidden entrance leading to a long narrow cave going deep underground ( under a mountain if possible ) and then opening to our large cavernous Great Hall - very Gothic - like a medieval church / mausoleum / castle barracks + armory.
    • These maps show the locations of two Sanctum Desecrata:
    • This is a place for mocking anyone who worships anything other than power.  This is a place for brooding, scheming, and creating a grand strategy for destruction.  Here, the study of Death and the study of Chaos collide and combine and yield unto us the tools necessary for our legions to forge power from the suffering of our victims.  Call it a Hall of Horror, a Temple of Torture, a Mausoleum of Megalomania.... this is a Stratagem Chaotica... one of many cancerous abominations spread throughout the world - each one shrouded, a nightmarish unseen poison, an un-dectected tumor in the flesh of the land....

  • COVEN of the SANCTUM DESECRATA: Each of our Sanctum Desecratus headquarters is "tended to" by a vampire priestess.  Collectively, they comprise this coven.  According to our lore, eight female vampires joined the UL:ASC 1160 years before the formation of the Empire.  Their vampire matron was Queen Neferata.  They joined the UL:ASC partly as a way to escape the wrath of Nagash.  He was/is the most powerful necromancer in Warhammer lore, and he turned on the vampires after they failed to help him defeat Alcadizaar the Conqueror.

  • CONCEPT OF SECULARISM: This is one of the most important concepts that sets our guild apart and unique in Warhammer Lore.  If we worship anything, it is Power and Destruction - in and of themselves.  This concept seems difficult to reconcile, when we have Zealots of Tzeentch and Shamans of Gork and Mork and Disciples of Khaine.  The answer to this difficulty is simple: The *guild* is secular, though individuals may not be.  That said, the most prominent ideology among members will be that Gods are tools to be utilized for achieving a desired end.  So, the Zealots of Tzeentch may not be entirely genuine in their praise of him.  Rather, they say what they need to, in order to get the power they desire.

  • CYN A'THALUI: Cyn is covered in the history section, but he is worth bringing up again.  He was Lady Aladriel's father.  Against his will, he inspired the creation of the ASC, while being tortured by Kutulu.  At that time, humans were unaware of the relationship between their subconscious and the realm of chaos... the source of the chaos energies that manifest in our world.  After being put through relentless days and weeks of torture, Cyn gave us the knowledge we needed to devise methods for taking advantage of that relationship... by directing the nature of what once was a passive mental amalgam.  Five years later, Cyn caused the "Accident" which killed all the founding human members of the ASC and started them on their reincarnation cycle.  For nearly 2,500 years, he was the #1 enemy of the ASC.

  • REINCARNATION: As a result of the "Accident" that took place 5 years after the ASC was formed, all human members of the ASC were killed.  However, they now are reincarnated each time that they die.  They will be reborn, though the time between death and rebirth can vary.  They retain all of their memories from one life to the next, though those memories may not return until any point later in their lives.  We have not specified exactly who or how many members there were at the time of the "Accident."  That way, YOU can write yourself into the ancient ASC history, if you so choose.

  • MAGICAL PREMISE: The basis of our guild formation was a hybridization between Druchii Dark Magic and Chaos Magic.
    • Specifically: Dark magic in its use, essentially channels all the winds of magic through a single entity, such as a Druchii.  When the guild was formed, there was no such thing as “Chaos Sorcerers,” because our formation predates the "chaos cultures" of the north, whom worship the chaos gods.  However, the ability to channel directly from Chaos, thereby feeding upon the power that humanity gives, and tapping into such a bountiful source, was the very same principal that the founders of Anti Sanctus Chaotica touched upon.  To further empower this new kind of magic, they influenced the realm of Chaos directly by causing fear and suffering in their prey, thus feeding more to the Chaos energy.  The point of all of this, was so that the Druchii could weave the powerful, but unstable Chaos magics into their own Death magic, unleashing unparalleled devastation upon their foes, unlike the world had seen before.

  • WE EAT FEAR: A driving belief in the UL:ASC culture is that the more FEAR there is in the world, the more powerful our guild members will become.  This is based on the magical premise of our guild (see above).

  • CREATION OF THE NIGHTMARE TRIBE: In the early 1700s, the Council of Dark Lords was impressed by the successes Gorbad Ironclaw had, when he led a huge WAAAGH into Empire.  In 1715, Dark Lord Noir was able to "obtain" a collection of fungal spore from the Chaos Dwarves, whom had originally created the Black Orcs.  Then, in 1776, a group of Chaos Magi and Druchii Sorceresses successfully created 88 Black Orcs from the spore sample.  These chaos-infused Greenskin were the originators of the Nightmare Tribe.
