The air was heavy with the acrid reek of raw magic, a scent which crawled inside a mortal's head, scratching within their skulls like starving rats.  It made most ill, few uneasy and fewer still suffer delusions and the onset of madness.  Madness, however had come and danced within the corridors of Urvik's mind long ago, twisting it into an inhuman labyrinth of deceit, prophecy and baroque schemes.  It was subtle at first, but progressed further and further as the young wizard had read more of the Prophecies of Necrodomo, which foretold the inevitable and eventual victory of Chaos.

His mind buckled at first under the words, reeled against the symbols that caused him to weep blood for the first few nights.  It built and built, a pressure within his skull demanding understanding, to make sense of the words scrawled before him, till at long last he had broken down and beseeched every God he could think of until one finally answered in whispers.

In time, his eyes shriveled away, pale flesh growing over the empty sockets.  His forehead had split open to birth a single orange eye, one which could see what mere mortals only dreamed of.  He could see the sigils clearly now, meanings within meanings within meanings.  He could watch the delicate play of the Winds of Magic drift downard from the Umbra Chaotica, perverted by Asur Wards set so long ago.  They would fall.

In time, he had been reborn, pledged as a Magus of Tzeentch, the only god who would let him finally understand the totality of the universe, and how insignifigant all mortals truly were.  Reborn, reshaped...changed and made better.

Soon all would see....he would show them the glory of Tzeentch's plan and how even if they railed against it, they merely danced to the tune of the piper.
