The Unholy Legions of Anti-Sanctus Chaotica, a Warhammer Online Destruction Regiment, Noir on the State of the Guild

My dearest ducklings, goslings and greenies, all of whom are truly my children and beloved playmates, for birds with feathers do peak in the nethers, I greet you all most warmly and with much in the way of gelatinous substances.

I address you now as your most loving and beautiful Dark Lord, of course, with a message on the State of the Guild as it now stands.

These are interesting times as of late, and as you well know, they have been a bit bumpy. Quite recently, the larger guilds in the alliance left us, albeit amenably, to pursue visions they saw as incompatible with our own. We have lost many beloved guild members either to other guilds, as a result of boredom and disillusionment with the game or as a result of those hideously annoying ‘real life’ issues. I know I needn’t name any names, but they are sorely missed by all.

We have even mourned the retirement of the late, great Mizzie Darksyn from Darkladyship as now she goes into the hallowed halls of Emeritus status, being respected as a venerable elder even though she abdicates governing power for the sake of real life.

The Alliance is not what it used to be. Debates are still underway as to how, precisely, we ought to proceed so as to rectify our current situation, and for that, your input has been much appreciated, and we ask you to continue speaking your minds to this regard.
I shall be open in this regard as well. There have been some tensions between the Dark Council and the Officership, but I feel these shall soon be resolved. You shall see why as events unfold very, very quickly.

The good news as of late would be the continued influx of new members, bright-eyed contributors who are truly the hope of our guild, and , of course, the founding and strengthening of the Cult of Mahk, which I hope shall continue to prevail for many years to come so long as Khaibit/Meeb/Ciro and Jachin continue keeping it alive and throbbing.

I wish to make a few things clear.
First of all, the Council and the Officers are here for you. This is a guild of, for and by the members, and any and every concern, question, comment or shameless flirt you have to set forward should be sent to those you trust and esteem as your leaders. Never hesitate.
Officers, the Council is here for you as well. We are your support, the elders here to uphold you and work with you. Never should it be otherwise.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, there are some who see this as being a bit of an apocalypse for us, all that has happened as of late. Let me share something with you, pups.

When we were just about to launch the game, I told Chad (Papa K) what I feared, namely that all our obsessive organizing would be for not, that people would leave, perhaps even in droves, that we would have to restructure ourselves, and that essentially we would be unprepared for what we would face. I predicted it would be difficult, that the growing pains of the game would make the days of waiting seem like a hopelessly naive paradise in comparison. I called these predicted things "growing pains," and I still believe that's what they are. That we can weather them and be the better for it goes without saying, but only if we don't give up.

For Mahk’s sake, we are the Unholy Legions of the Anti-Sanctus Chaotica!
When we are troubled, we overcome. When we find ourselves at a loss, we strategize. When we are teetering on the abyss, we do not go quietly into that great night! Nay, we adapt, and we rage against the dying of the light. We can, we shall, and we must prevail!

MEMBERS: Bear with your officers. Support them! Give them your suggestions, your loyalty and your trust!
Officers: Do not be overburdened! Reach out to those you must, be honest with yourselves about your abilities, and do not be afraid to speak your minds!

Above all else, remember: this is a game. The whole bloody point is to have fun. If that is not the case, then something is going horribly awry, and we must find a way to fix it. After all, as Papa K would say, “hey, it’s your $15 a month.”
