((WARNING: This story will contain the following: Graphic situations, sexual themes, Dark humor, Gore-like details, and other stuff not recommended for minors. If you are not mature enough for R-rated type stuff do not read this. Thank you. For the rest enjoy. P.S. This is done in chapters post by post so these may not show up until later so just dont even start unless you can deal with it.))
Chapter 1: Humble Beginnings
[/b]
Darcros was not always the chosen of Tzeentch he is today. In fact he was not always known as Darcros Painkeeper. He was known as Cradious Vonhulf of the Vonhulf family of the empire. His father was a witch hunter named Traekis Vonhulf. He married a peasant women named Sulvish and they birthed Cradious and two years later had twin younger brothers who they named Fathis and Mathis. The family was typical to an extent. Traekis was busy with his work and Sulvish nurtured them.
Cradious wanted so much to be like his father for as long as he could remember and saw his brothers as weak for wanting to be scholars instead of having a noble job like thier father. He always trained hard to perfect his fighting skills but his father would not allow him to become a witch hunter for one reason, and it is for this reason that Cradious hated himself. His compassion. He would not kill an innocent to kill a warrior of chaos. He would not make sacrifices for the greater good and this killed Cradious inside.
((Cradious is 14 years old as of now)) "Please father trains me to root out chaos" the young boy pleaded. His father shook his head and said "No you are not ready, you would be better somewhere else." The boy became infuriated "All I want is to be like you, as strong as you, as cunning as you. Why cant I?!" he screamed. "The problem you have can not be fixed...." his father said as he left the house to go track evil. Cradious ran to his mother and sobbed in her lap. Sulvish comforted him but could say nothing, for it was all true.
The next day Cradious began training his swordmanship harder than ever before. His hands bled and he kept on. His limbs grew tired and he continued. Tears ran down his face but he did not stop. He wanted to be the best, he wanted to be like his father and destroy chaos for all in the empire. He lived on the outskirts of Altdorf, a breeding ground for chaos cultists. He knew he had to get better but how.....
Cradious pondered long and hard on how to become what he wanted. He went to his mother for assistance but all she offered was a smile and compassion, the one thing that stood between him and his dream. His mother was quite beautiful, how a peasant woman could be such a way was beyond the villages understanding. She had radiant blue eyes and blonde hair which was opposite to her husband who black hair and brown eyes along with his dark demeanor made him a scary man to behold.
Thier happiness and fortune was almost like magic......
((Sorry the first chapter is a little dry. I got to set the stage and all that nonsense. Next chapter will have some evil in it I promise hehe))

This actually made me think: "wow"
Your character is extremely chaotic, and to think he wanted to not just be a Witch Hunter, to be the
best
Witch Hunter, is quite something. Significantly changes how I'll view Darcros now. I await the horrific moment at which he converted to the chaos side with much excitement

((Chapter 1 was probably more of a prologue more than a real chapter, but alas it works. Time for more chaos))
Chapter 2: The egg begins to crack
[/b]
His mother babied his brothers who kept in thier studies, his father ignoring him and bringing him down. Cradious went to the temple each day and prayed for an answer. He knelt down and began to reach out to Sigmar. "Great god Sigmar, give me guidance. All I want is to do to chaos that my father does. What he does is noble and its all I want. Please give me a sign, how can I help my father's cause." Each day he recieved no answer. But each day he returned.
By his sixteenth birthday he had become an adept warrior but his father kept the secrets of his order from him. His skill with a blade was on par with his father even though his accuaracy with his father's pistol was lacking. He began every morining training until he bled, he would then go to the temple, then train till he passed out. His mother watched him with concern but seemed to involved with his younger brothers to care enough. Cradious seemed to be in his own world. His father would not help him, his mother kept silent, and Sigmar seemed to ignore him.
One day he was awoken in the middle of the night in the fields where he trained. There were five heavily armored men there stand over him. "We have been watching you train boy" said one of the figures. "You seem quite fit for your age, ever consider a temple guard?" said another. Cradious stood up still a bit groggy, "A guard? But I aim to be a witchhunter." he said rubbing the dust out of his eyes. They all chuckled to themselves till one spoke "You are too noble for that kind of work. You spend time training and the rest at the temple, you body is strong and so is your faith. Become a temple guard and you can defend against chaos" The child's eyes widened as he heard chaos...this could be his way in.
"How can I stop chaos?" he asked now fully awake. They smiled and the last one spoke "Come to the temple in the morning, forget your training, you will work with us now. Now rest and can see daze in your eyes." They walked away and Cradious did notice his body ached, he decided to finally walk back to his house and enjoy the comfort of his bed. The long walk gave him more time to think, he could stop chaos and his father could not stop him, he could finally grow and become a warrior. Maybe in time his heart will become strong enough to take up his father's mantle.
He slowly entered his house and crept to his room avoiding any noise-making that could wake his family. He crawled into his bed and fell asleep rather quickly. He smiled as the thought of helping the good fight ran through his mind. His father stood in his doorway watching his sleeping body. A raven flew to his shoulder. Traekis stroked the bird's beak "In due time child, in due time...." he whispered as he shut the door.

Chapter 4: A Bright Destiny
Cradious awoke the next morining with a wide grin. He rushed out the door he didnt even notice the rest of his family eating breakfast at the table before he left. "He seems to be in a rush" Sulvish giggled at her two young sons who chuckled. "Not everyday you find your calling..." Traevis said under his breath. They continued to eat the rest of their breakfast in silence. Cradious arrived at the temple noticing the five men he met the day before dressed head to toe in armor, accompanied by a warrior priest.
"So kid, you ready?" said one of them in a cocky tone. Cradious just nodded and stepped forward. "We are going to teach you the ways of the blade and shield" stated the warrior priest. "I am already adept at my swordmanship" said Cradious with a serious tone. "Good, but the shield is more important. What good is your blade he you have already been slain" a guard said as he tossed him a shield. Cradious barely caught it and was surprised by how heavy it was.
"Get used that extra wieght on your arm" said the warrior priest. Cradious unsheathed his blade and took a fighter's stance he reconized, "I'm ready for anything you got" he stated with a smile. "Drop you blade" the warrior priest said calmly. "What?!" Cradious said looking at his sword. "You heard me, drop you blade." Regrettably Cradious did as he was told. "Now, SURVIVE!" shouted the priest as one of the guards attacked him with a greatsword.
Instinctivley Cradious blocked it but the hits kept coming. Hit after hit, each blow waning the durablity of his left arm. After a mighty blow that knocked him to the ground, Cradious thought of his next course of action, no way he could last much longer. "GET UP" shouted the priest from the sidelines. Cradious inched up and raised the shield preparing for another blow. The guard came with a strike but to his surprise he deflect it and before a second passed Cradious's right hand was around his neck. "I am not to be toyed with" Cradious said seriously.
All were shocked, none who have trained took such an "offensive' approach. The priest began to clap and chuckle to himself. "What a fine guard he will make hahaha" he boasted. A small grin crossed Cradioius's mind, he was one step closer to his goal. All of the guards congratulated him informed him of his new training schedule, all the while they were watched by the gaze of a raven perched ontop of the church. The raven had puppet strings dangling from its legs loosley, one step closer to destroying chaos or one step closer to chaos itself?

Chapter 5: Promotion
At the mere ages of nineteen Cradious became Sir Cradious of the elite guard. Being younger than the rest did not stop him from being one of the best they had to offer. He protected the temple of Sigmar during the day along with five others, while three took the night shift. He was proud of his job considering the entire city respected him for it, all except his father who continued to give him the 'cold shoulder'. He adored the temple, he was even given a room in the basement like other guards so they could keep vigilant in case of an emergancy.
"So how goes it, not too difficult I hope?" the warrior priest asked Cradious. "Not at all sir. My life for Sigmar!" he responded quickly. The priest nodded and returned inside the temple. He went on patrol alone and began to search around the temple for any trying to sneak in to steal on of the many valuble things inside. As he got near the Southwest corner he noticed a small group of robed elves. His curiosity got the better of him and he went a few steps closer until thier faces could be identified.
He scoped out each one, three elder men, three elder woman, two younger men, and one younger elf. He eyes stayed glued to the young maiden. Even though he figure was cloaked her face held so much beauty unlike Cradious had ever seen before, he slowly walked after her until a shout came from away. "Everything alright Cradious?" screamed a fellow guard. Cradious snapped out of it and began walking back, when he got close enough he said emotionless "Secured".
He went about the rest of his duties distraced. He could not get the maiden out of his head no matter how much he tried. Luckily the rest of the guards just thought he wasnt getting enough sleep so they ignored his wierd state. He went to bed that night and fell asleep. His mind wandered into a dream. He saw the beautiful women rush up to him and give him a gentle kiss on the lips. She began to discard her robe but before much could be seen, the disappeard and a raven took its place. The raven's feathers were constantly changing colors.
"You won't have her. Join me and you can..." the raven said flying off. Cradious chased it yelling "What do you mean?! What is all of this?!" He awoke in cold sweat, he took a look over at a stature of Sigmar which was cracked in half.......

Chapter 6: Elf and Man
Cradious was uneasy. His dream felt omnious and very random, but telling anyone could make himself seem crazy because even he didnt understand what happened. He walked back to his post and put the night guard to well-deserved rest. When he arrived he noticed the night watch already walking back to thier beds, relieved of service by the priest who seemed eager with news. The priest rushed up to him "I have a new assignment for you my young guard and a quite honorable one at that" the priest continued with much excitement.
"We have been visited by several ambassadors that are returning from Altdorf and want to examine our simple village's life-style and we need you to escort one of them. Each guard has been assigned to an ambassador closest to thier age. But remember we need you to keep professional, you are representing our entire village" Preached the priest with Craidous listening intently. He nodded and went inside to the temple to meet his ambassador, as fate would have it.....it was her.
He was paralyzed the moment he saw her beautiful face. She had a perfectly tanned skin complimented with golden blonde hair that went to each side of her face. He green eyes seemed intoxicating. He was almost angered by her ceromonial garbs that covered the rest of her beauty. "Hello, are you the escort" the maiden asked with a voice softer than the wind. Cradious took a big gulp and nodded still fixiated on her eyes.
"Should we get started" the maiden said innocently. Cradious nodded again and turned around quickly to avoid staring any futher which he had just noticed. "L-l-lets g-g-go" he stuttered nervously. As they left the temple Cradious tried hard to be a good escort but could only spit out the bare miniuim of knowledge about each structure even though he could rant for hours on it. He barely made it through the day, sweat constantly rained down and he had no idea if she could tell or not.
He slowly turned to see the elf looking over by the small lake near the village. She seemed lost in the small blue lake. "Can we go there?" she pointed over to the body of water. Cradious nodded and lead her there. They arrived and the elf maiden approached the shore and left Cradious watching on the beach. "Is it ok to swim?" she asked. Cradious gave a small shrug "Yah, some do it, I haven't" he said nervously. "Do you wish to join me?" she kept the questions up, Cradious took another gulp and thought of an excuse.
"It takes t-t-too long t-t-to take off my armor" he stuttered nervously. "Alright" she said with a hint of dissapointment. She slowly took off her robe showing her luscious body with black leather underwear barely covering her private areas. Cradious couldnt take his eyes off her. He walked into the shallow waters and began to almost bathe to get used to the water. She started kicking up dirt causing a mysterious shroud to cover her lower body under the lake. She giggled happily as the lukewarm water touched every part of her tanned body.
"You really should join me, the water is amazing," the maiden said. "N-n-no I really shoudnt" the nervousness was far too obvious by now. The maiden reached to her back and began to unlatch her leather bra, "But Im so lonely" she taunted as she removed her bra the moment she covered her chest in the water. Lust started to consume Cradious, he had never expierenced a woman so beautiful and so close. He almost ached to have her, and he could tell she wanted him.

Chapter 7: The Forbidden Fruit
Despite Cradious's better judgement he snuck her robe back on and dragged her back to his quarters at his old home. As luck would have it, his mother and brothers spent most of thier time at the library studying and his father was never home till late. He knew taking her to the temple would have ended very badly. When they got to his old room he immedialty disrobed her. No words were spoken has the passion between them grew with every second.
Cradious was in a trance the entire time, he never felt skin so soft, never seen a body so pure, never stared into eyes so mysterious. His affection was returned in kind as her delicate fingers removed his armor quicker than he could. It wasnt long before both lost thier minds in passion and only thier bodies decided what was best for them. Cradious knew he shouldnt be defiling a maiden but what could he do? Her seduction knew no bounds. The entire evening both were lost in passion, before dark and his family would arrive, he snuck back to the temple with her in hand.
As he shut the door to his quarters he took one last look out, he saw the silouette of a body but he continue to shut the door and hoped it was just his imagination. Arm in arm, the elven maiden and Cradious fell asleep hoping they could continue this charade forever. "I cant believe how lucky I am..." Cradious whispered "And I dont even know your name" They stared into each others eyes as almost trying to communicate with each other. "Lyrinian" she responded quietly but clearly "And you are?" she giggled a bit, "Cradious my love, Cradious" he boasted proudly.
As both fell asleep farther away his father was 'inspecting' his old room. Traekis wandered through the room, not touching anything but observing the ruffled bed and wet spots. He gave an evil chuckle as he left the room shutting the door tightly. He walked to his quarters were he saw he is wife, Sulvish. "He takes after you far too much" he mocked his wife. "Have you seen the way he fights, I would be surprised if Khorne did not get to him" she responded. "How are the other two?" he quickly changed the subject angry at the name Khorne. "They are unwittingly studying magic known only to chaos, by the books you provided.
"They will all make excellent warriors of chaos...." he said crawling into bed. Both disappeared into the darkness of thier chambers confident in thier children. "How daring fate is, how daring Tzeentch is...." he uttered to himself before his wife inevitably pounced him under the covers.

Chapter 8: Love is Blind
Lyrinian and Cradious kept thier love a secret. They knew the others in the elven group would criticize thier love, and the village would not be so tolerant of it as well. They both had never felt such passion from another especially Cradious who had never embraced a woman before. However Cradious resumed his post while loving at night, he had never been happier and he was glad there was at least one other person with the capacity to love him.
Lyrinian had also become more talkative and interested in Cradious's life and more specifically his job. "So you protect the entire temple from thieves?" she would ask in which Cradioius would respond with a nod. "All the time?" she would continue. "Well, no. Just during the daylight with several other guards. The night is protected by three guards who patrol around it." he would say confident in his answer. "I see.....so you ready for another round?" she said with a grin which was mimiced by her lover.
Thier passionate kisses suddenly ended when Cradious passed out not even a minute in. Lyrinian looked at his fallen body with grief as she clothed her self in black leather and a mask. She quietly left the room. The next morining Cradious awoke in a daze, he not remember the previous night and although confused he dressed in his armor to hurry to work. On his way the town's warning bells started to ring.
Cradious went into a dead sprint and hurried to the temple. When he arrived he noticed the town guard mobilzing and moving out from the priest, the three night watchmen lay dead on the ground. "Ah Cradious Im glad your here." the priest said worried. "The temple was robbed of a magical tome last night. It is filled with dark chaotic magic and was here for safe-keeping but it seems not safe enough. We believe the thief is still here and the guards are on alert. Go search and kill the perpatrator." Cradious nodded and began to look.
His mind kept denying the possibility of the worst. He kept searching, hoping he would be so lucky. He went to the lake to see a cloaked figure readying a boat. "Halt there thief!" Cradious shouted. The figure stopped and turned which unleashed Cradious's worst fear. It was Lyrinian. Her face filled with sadness and a tome clutched in her arm. She turned back to the boat causing Cradious to shout once more "STOP IT!"
She put the tome in the boat and approached Cradious and even though he raised his sword she continued to walk towards him. She held out her arms as if for a hug. Cradious dropped the sword and hugged her. She whispered in his ear "Im so sorry" Cradious released her and looked at his legs which were frozen in place. "Why?!" he asked frantically trying to release his legs. "I didnt want to. I had to." She said filled with sadness and entering the boat which began to drift away. "DONT GO!" he yelled "WE CAN MAKE IT THROUGH THIS!"
She shook her head as a mysterious fog hid her tracks. His legs thawed magically when her body dissappeared. He ran to the other side of the lake, finally noticing how large it is. He got to the other side and saw the empty boat encased in ice. Cradious dropped to his knees and kept screaming in anger, luckily out of range of all to hear, except one who had been watching this whole time, Traekis.

Chapter 9: He is his child
The book was lost and Cradious had been stricken with greif. He told no one the truth of what happened to the book, as far as the village was concerned; it never happened. Cradious continued his duties but he had grown colder since that day. He would only say the bare miniuim to any who approached him and never instigated a conversation. He seemed to have changed over night, and the priest realized this and had called a meeting with him.
"Sit down child" the priest said calmy, Cradious obeyed. "Something has been bothering you, please share..." he continued. Cradious gave a short paused followed by a deep breath "Nothing is wrong" he said sternly. The priest chuckled and walked over to Cradious putting his hand on his shoulder "There are no secrets between you and Sigmar." Cradious stood up and removed his hand "Then it is between me and him only" he said with increasing anger. The priest was shocked that he stood up against him.
"Listen Crad-" the priest was cut off. "No you listen! Nothing happened and the more you accuse me the closer you get to death!" Cradious snapped and ran out the door, he shut it so hard behind him that a crack appeared in the middle of it. The priest took a deep sigh and prayed for advice.
Cradious marched back to his old house still consumed in anger. He saw his father sitting out in front of it on the grass, sorting out some parchments on the grass. He looked up to his son and he could tell he was furious. "Make me a Witchhunter" Cradious demanded. "Your weakness makes it impos-" Traekis was cut off "That weakness is gone, I am willing to destroy all of altdorf to rid the land of evil!" Cradious boasted. Traekis stood up and looked into his son's eyes. "You have changed" he whispered to himself.
"What if I told you the evil you know is not evil?" Traekis said quietly. He recieved a confused look from his son. "Come, supper is waiting and we have much to discuss...." Cradious followed his father inside, he could tell something was wrong.....

Chapter 10: The Truth
Cradious sat down at the table with his father. They stared at each other for a few moments then Traekis began "We have been lying to you my son. To follow the same path as me is not one of a witch hunter." Cradious slammed his fist on the table "What is it that you speak, you are famous around here for you cleansing of chaos!" Traekis shook his head in disagreement "No, I brought fools who hated chaos to justice, chaos is all that is good and righteous."
Cradious was speechless, Why would his father say something like that so sudden? Why now? "I tell you this because it is only a matter of time before I am found out. I need you to take your brothers and flee north." Cradious was still in awe. It was then his mother came into the room with two cups of tea and gave one to Traekis who gave a nice grin. His mother then offered Cradious the other cup who just looked at her not believing how casual they were about this.
His only response was anger. He stood up and smacked the cup of tea across the room, neither parent moved an inch. "How can you say this! We are enemies of chaos, not its worshippers!" he started to breathe heavily. His father sipped the tea and cleared his throat to speak "We have been feeding your negative emotions since birth, betrayal, dissapointment, anger, pleasure, all a part of transformation. Sigmar is a lie and Chaos is the only true savior in this world" when Traekis finished his rant a raven swooped to his shoulder.
Cradious did not know what to say but it all hit him at once. His parents never showed love until now. All his life was filled with these emotions he spoke of and Sigmar never answered his prayers, if anything he made them worse. Cradious in silence left the house in an instant. His mother gave a sigh, "How do you think he will take it?" Traekis took another sip of tea "It is fated, get the twins, they are next..."
Cradious went to the lake and began to skip rocks, he could not believe what he had been told. There was no prediction to this, and it was so sudden. He just focused on the water and tried to envision all his accomplishment, but every time it went to how he failed. He snapped at the priest who gave him his job. He lost his only love. And when his dream was about to be realized he found his whole life was a lie.
He turned to see a flock of ravens all staring at him intently. Confused, Cradious tried to sidestep them but they followed with thier eyes, nervous he turned and ran to only meet another flock with his father in the middle. "Do not run from your fate, my son."

Chapter 11: Running
Cradious blinked at the site of his father and when his eyes opened there were no ravens and his father was nowhere to be found. He smelt something though. It fell to his tongue, it tasted of ash. The air grew hotter and the smell continued, it was a fire. Cradious looked around frantically to find its location and he saw the bright light in the worst place, where his home is. He ran towards it but stopped when he heard chanting, at first inaudible. Then it came to be known, they were chanting "Kill the traitor!" over and over again.
Cradious started to creep around other's yards and he remained in darkness. He saw his house in flames, it already started to crumble. His father and mother were tied back to back on a pole that rose into the air. Cradious froze, he had no idea what to do. The mod stopped from the loud cackling of his father. "Why he laughing?" a member of the mob asked. "You do not comprehend?!" Traekis shouted.
Sulvish, his mother, also started to giggle as her husband began to preech to the angry crowd of people. "Chaos is true and pure, all those who worship otherwise are fools!" the mob began to shout loudly but Traekis continued still heard by all. "I serve the true gods, and so will my sons. They will burn you all as you burned my home!" The mob ignored him and set fire around and the flames crept toward Cradious's parents. "I may die, but it is only fate. My death was foreseen, as well as my darling wife's. Our death means little, we were just meant to train three true warriors."
"The twins have already made thier way north and thier older brother will meet them shortly!" the fires reached his legs. "Take me Tzeentch!!!" he screamed. As the forsaken god's name was chanted the flames turned blue and instantly consumed Traekis and Sulvish, nothing remained. Cradious ran through the darkness away from the mob and went into the temple. The priest was there, he was surprised and unaware of what had taken place "My child wh-" he was cut off when a sharp metal rod pierced his throat. Cradious killed him in cold blood.
He donned his armor from the temple and took his sword and shield and went north. As he ran through the forest he could hear dogs barking and the dim light of torches behind him. He kept running and hoped he could escape, he now regretted his heavy armor. Three villagers confronted him with a single bloodhound. Cradious gave them a cold stare. "Give up. Your as dead as your dad" a man said with the dog barking uncontrollably. Cradious through his blade through his neck and slammed his shield into another with breakneck speed.
Cradious looked at the last who was holding the leash of the dog. He was frozen in fear, they all forgot he had been trained to defend his life from harm and trained to take life. "Hold on now-" Cradious caught his neck and began to squeeze. "Im a master of unarmed combat, giving me weapons is like giving a troll a tree trunk." Cradious spoke calmly. "NOW DIE" he snapped his neck. He looked down noticing the dog gnawing at his armored shin guard.
He hit the dog with his shield and the breaking of its bones were easily heard. He lay there still. A groan came from behind him, it was the one he hit with his shield, just now recovering from the impact. He looked at Cradious with a combination of anger and cowardice. "Dont worry, I will let you live as my messenger." Cradious said as he retrieved his blade from the neck of a corpse. "Tell your village, it will burn. I shall return and destroy everything you hold dear. Now go, unless you want your life ended?" he spoke in a dark tone. The man crawled away uttering curses for the fallen guard.
Cradious ran north again, he ran until his feet ached, until he arrived at another village. He had never seen this village so he assumed he had run far. He entered the unknowing village.
