The Goblin stared into the cold, dead eyes before him.  He shook violently as he took in the monstrosity materializing in front of him.  The gaunt figure, easily six feet in height, was draped in robes darker than a moonless night.  While its cadaverous shape unsettled the poor Greenskin, it was the creature’s face that gave him cause to dread.  Glowing, lupine eyes were set in sunken sockets above a sharp, hawk-like nose.  Below that, twisted by large, yellowed fangs, lay a mouth, grinning with glee at the terror it instilled.

“Well, well, well…” the Vampire said, its voice sounding much like two bones grating together.  The few remaining wisps of the undead beast’s eyebrow raised in surprise when it sensed the Aethyreal emanations from the small, seemingly defenseless creature before it.  “You have knowledge of the ways of magic?”

The Goblin glanced to either side, shuddering as he took in the slaughter surrounding him.  The torn, broken bodies of his tribe strewn on the ground around him made the Greenskin realize how bad of an idea it was to keep the Necrarch waiting.  Frantically, he blurted, “Da Mork ‘az blezzeded meeb wif da Waaagh!...Iz dat majik?”

The Aristocrat of the Night brought its skeletal hands to its head, rubbing its temples in frustration.  “Stop…speaking!” It hissed angrily, making the Goblin cower in terror once more.  “It would appear that I am going to have to teach you to speak properly if you are going to be of any use.”

As soon as the last, rasping syllable left the monstrosity’s fanged mouth, the Greenskin felt an ancient, malevolent will envelope his puny mind and he knew brilliance.

“I shall, from this moment on, call you Khaibit, my shadow and link to the Mortal Realm.

Enveloping him with ancient forces, eh? Not quite invisible tentacles, but attractive nonetheless.
