Asarikox had expected Gitztricker wouldn't be able to stop any of them, so it didn't come as a surprise to see Darcros behind him, glowing blue with the witch-sight.
"Darcros, if you wouldn't mind, I have things to tend to, you, your armour, brains, not helping, you catch my drift?"
"I have to protect you, it is my duty as the head of the Aegi..."
"I am in no need of protection. I am safe here, nothing can get to me. The only reason you were able to get through the maze of tunnels is because I was there to guide you. Nothing, I repeat nothing, blood, fire, burnt, can get to me here"

Asarikox gestured his hand, letting the energy flow freely around Darcros so that a black shroud cloaked him and sucked him into the air.
"I trust you will find your own way out" spat Asarikox, as he turned, his blue eye suddenly jolted into a vicious red, and he was consumed by the darkness.

The trio found themselves uncloaked, outside the very door to Asarikox's chambers. There was no hope of returning to him quickly, only the Magus knew the way through the tunnels.

Inside, Asarikox pondered as to the variety of little heads floating around him, or his inability to speak properly. Something was wrong, but he was too proud to ask for Darcros' help. He'd not even considered the elf or the goblin.
"Damn this!" he yelled, and slammed his fist into the wall. His blood red orb of an eye let off a tiny tear for his regret. Pride came before necessity for him, and this time, he knew it would cost him dearly.

Darcros swiped an orb from under his belt. A grim voice echoed from it "What is it brother?" Darcros looked back at the goblin and elf but then quickly turned his attention back to the orb. "Asarikox is being rather impatient. What news do you bring." the chosen said. "I suggest staying with Asarikox, Salarsh's men have been a bit more active. You destroying those camps didnt help." the voice assured. "I had to return to the ASC for my duties. Salarsh is but a pimple in this war but he has become a rash at this point. Asarikox may be too involved with this matter to pay attention to the requis." the chosen trailed off.

The orb's voice changed a bit "Maybe you could gain the requis and give it to your lords. You always were paranoid that Asarikox would be in the way now you can gain the requis with no problem." Darcros snickered and then spoke "No, not yet. That soul is too tempting and the lords would not forgive me letting a powerful magus die and give them but a trinket. The power of the requis is unknown....." Darcros began to think for a moment. "Keep track of his men and report to me later. And send Cragtor to my quarters and bring me......the Aegis....."

Lyllien quietly snuck down the hallways of the ASC's sanctum, half lost. She knew who she needed to find and she wasn't quite sure where she was going, but she was sure it was the right way; Xen told her so. It confused her how he knew, but she had came too far to question. The zealot was simply thankful that the odd note she had translated had given her access, as she hadn't met a person yet. Only caretakers that did not bother to ask her who she was or why she was there and that suited her just fine.

"We wuz soooo close!"

Upon hearing the voice, Lyllien froze and peered carefully around the corner. An irritated goblin and dark elf stood staring peevishly at the door behind them.

"Frankly, I think this idea wasn't the best. There hasn't been any positive response and we don't seem to be gaining any ground," the dark elf scoffed. "Maybe we should turn our attentions else where, so we may avoid the company of such fools." The dark elf turned and glared at the chosen talking into what appeared to be an orb.

"Go," whispered Turik. "There's no way they'll not help a lovely girl like you."
"They look delicious!" Syd commented.
"This floor... It's quite cold," noted Xen. Lyllien just shrugged. There was no way to find out if she didn't ask. She had to find Asarikox as soon as possible and make sense of all this documentation she had found. She had waited 7 years and she wasn't going to pass up this opportunity. Quietly she walked around the corner.

"Oh yuz alweyz give up, yuz so-" the goblin stopped talking and turned, noticing Lyllien standing note in hand. It scoffed. "Oh don't sayz it! Yuz 'as got da note too?"

Lyllien flinched and looked at the goblin in surprise. There were others given? That just complicated things further.

"Kill it," hissed Syd. Lyllien shook her head and walked up to the greenskin and dark elf, holding out the parchment to them.

"What, too stupid to speak?" the dark elf snapped, as she took the letter from Lyllien's hand. The zealot recoiled a tad and Syd flared up in anger, which she had to push aside before it clouded her own mind. Elves, she had never had any good experiences with them on the way, so why should it change? The druchii read it quickly. "Requis? What in Khaine's name is that?"

Before Lyllien could take the note back in disappointment, the chosen turned around quickly, noticing the zealot as if for the first time.

Gitztricker returned from his joyful exploits, a massive grin on his goggle-masked face, a bounce in his step. Something had delighted the goblin to the point of a state of pure ecstacy. He wandered down the rows of corpses, blades and blood, whistling a tune and occasionaly letting off a small bounce.
The door to Asarikox's study creaked open, and the small figure was a black silhoutte against the blue light from within. The goblin stood, confused, but stubbornly refusing to let this strange occurence spoil his mood.

Something wasn't right though. For years, Gitztricker remembered being told about all manner of things, some he'd dismissed as magical talk, some he'd forgotten in his goblin brain. Suddenly though, something was taking hold. He remembered a blade, a Sorcerer, Asarikox weeping tears of blood in anger and rage, death and a cold, low voice, telling him how to live. The smile on his face dropped like a wet cloth.

Something was really not right.

If only, if only the goblin could have realised, pieced it all together. His inability to cleanse his brain of unecessary clutter was costing, second, valuable seconds. He was watching something unfold. It was like, all the time he'd spent at Asarikox's side, was somehow meaning something. Gokkikror, a shield, a menace, blades, boots, goggles. These images flashed behind his eyes, but every single one of them drew back to them same, unbearable root. It was like a spider's web in his brain, that only now he could traverse. Folding, inwards, a Sorcerer - who was that tall elf, with blood red eyes and a blade of pure fear?

"I will spare you if you only do as I say, I will give you everything you ever wanted, all you want. Just, let, me, enter." came the soft growl from within the Goblin's head. It was him! He was clogging his mind with useless thoughts, overflowing. That was all he needed. In the moment of distraction, Gitztricker faltered when he was most needed. The little goblin felt something consume him for a while, he felt his body be swallowed by a power far greater than anything he had ever experienced. With a spinning confusion, he felt his limbs move, his eyes burn, his hands burn.

Then darkness.

To Be Continued....

((OOC: I'm closing this here, thank you for the participation so far, but this marks the end of 'He who lies with the sunset'. It shall continue in due time in the form of another Open RP, which will be considered the next part, loose ends will be firmly tied up.))
