((This is my first go at a character driven story, and well the first story of sorts I've ever posted... so be gentle please... but I couldn't help but share the bruddas with everyone... this first one is sort of an introduction... it's a bit short, but I mean it to be the first glimpse into the brudda's world))
The tale of the three Bruddas and Biggun
This is a story about three little gobbos named Wormius, Lilguy, and Wriggly, oh and of course their big brother biggun Barackus the choppa. The Bruddas were the greenest, bestest, slimiest of all gobbos in the land, or so they'd like to think. They were very generous with each other and you could often find one picking his bum to share with the others, or nose, or ears, whichever had the most goop to go around. They even tried to share with Biggun, but often resorted to just rubbing their bums on him to make him smell right.
On the battlefield together they were an unstoppable force. Biggun was there to be their shield, Lilguy was there with his unsurpassed skill with a bow, not to mention his affinity for the little squigs he kept around, and then you had Wormius and Wriggly who had the powers of Gork and Mork. Together they used their powers to ensure everyone stayed alive, and did what damage they could to the evil stinkies called Order.
One particular day the Bruddas were out and about looking for slimy things to take home for dinner. They had wandered deep into the Marshes, sometimes known as the Marshes of Madness. The Bruddas weren't much concerned with the stories of madness that came from being lost in the swamps, they figured that as long as they were together nothing could really hurt them. If they only knew.
Lilguy was off chasing one of his squigs when a very ungobbo like scream ripped through the air. Wormius and Wriggly ran towards the sound expecting the worst, and instead they found Lilguy standing in front of a giant portal. Just then Biggun crashed through some brush and announced his arrival with a resounding belch. "Oi gitfaces wat be dis den?" He asked them. "Dunno Biggun, les find out!" Wriggly replied with excitement.
With that they all jumped through the portal with weapons raised and a battle cry on their lips. Arriving on the other side they notice that they are not alone and are quickly swept up into a group of like minded soldiers who seemed to be steadily pushing back a force of Order that had creeped up. Wormius, Wriggly, and Lilguy found places spread out and hidden while Barackus charged forward and started choppin' away at Order. Wormius was unable to hold back and rushed to join Barackus in the fray. Wriggly yelled out to the little Brudda but it was no use. Wormius needed to be close to the blood and gore to be happy. With a laugh Wriggly focused all the healing he could muster on everyone as they continued to push the forces of Order back.
The battle was bloody, and at the end Biggun and the Bruddas were covered in gore and lots of blood... just the way they liked it. When there was not a single Order left standing on the field they looked around until they found the portal again. Lilguy pointed to the other soldiers that were vanishing into their own portals and wanted to go try a different one, but Wriggly tugged his arm and pulled him to the portal they came through.
Arriving back in the Marshes the Bruddas gather the bucket of slimies for dinner and head back to their hut, knowing that they'd be back there again soon to see what other adventures they could fall into.
